Abstract
This work presents the analysis of a multiresonant forward converter with zero voltage switching. The converter control is achieved by frequency modulation, with the swiching frequency higher than the resonant frequency. The analysis is performed by the study of three operating modes. A computer program was developed to simulate the steady state behavior of the converter. The simulation results lead to get the conversion characteristics. An experimental 15 W converter was developed with a range input voltage between 40 Vdcand 60 Vdc, and an output voltage of 15 Vdc.
